Author Lawrence Hill Coming To The Library!

The Friends of Halton Hills Public Library are very pleased to announce that award-winning author Lawrence Hill will be at the Georgetown Branch (in the John Elliott Theatre) on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. Admission is free with donations accepted at the door.

Lawrence Hill is the author of The Book of Negroes which has won the 2008 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, the 2007 Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize and is a contender in the 2009 Canada Reads contest.

Formerly a reporter with The Globe and Mail and the Winnipeg Free Press, Mr. Hill resides in Burlington, Ontario. A question and answer period will follow a book reading. Mr. Hill will also be available for book signing.

Admission to this prestigious event is free with donations to the Friends of Halton Hills Public Library gratefully accepted at the door. Tickets are limited, and are available at both branches. For more information, please call 905-873-2681.
