Mission statement and values to form basis of annual operational plans. Trustees have finalized their review of the Halton District School Board’s strategic plan for the next four years, and are now asking for the public’s input.
Parents, staff and members of the public are being asked for feedback regarding the new plan, specifically the mission statement outlining the Board’s commitment to “every student”, and the values of relationships, respect, responsibilities and ingenuity.
Input on the draft strategic plan can be provided through the Halton District School Board website at www.hdsb.ca. Input will be received until Friday, October 7th, at which time it will be compiled and presented to the Board for its consideration. The Board is expected to finalize and approve the Strategic Plan by November 2011.
“This plan will guide us, and focus the attention of trustees and senior management on setting targets for students, staff and the system to facilitate this mission,” says David Euale, Director of Education for the Halton District School Board. “The development of annual operational plans will set those specific goals and targets, consistent with the Board’s Strategic Plan.”
“The trustees and senior management of the Board welcome your counsel on the development of our new plan,” says Don Vrooman, Chair of the Board. “We appreciate you taking the time to review the draft plan and offer comments and suggestions for the Board’s consideration.”
