Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week runs from November 13-19 and many schools within the Halton District School Board are highlighting their ongoing work to reinforce to students ways to make everyone feel welcome and part of the school community. Below are some examples of what is being done at Board schools:

The Halton District School Board believes every student has the right to learn in a safe, healthy and inclusive environment. This belief has guided the Board’s implementation of the Safe Schools Act, the Code of Conduct, and the development of policies to ensure schools are safe, positive and supportive places to learn. The Ontario Ministry of Education has designated the third week of every November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week to help promote safer schools and positive learning environments.
