Calling All Job Seekers and Employers: Halton Region Job Fair is October 16

Halton Region will be hosting its annual job fair on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Burlington Convention Centre located at 1120 Burloak Drive in Burlington get directions. The job fair is open to the public and will include many employers from across Halton. Admission and parking are free.

“The annual job fair is one of the ways we connect job seekers and employers in Halton,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. “We have a number of employers who have already committed to participating in this year’s job fair so we encourage anyone who is looking for a job to prepare their resumes and take advantage of this opportunity.”

In 2007, over 1200 skilled and motivated job seekers networked with over 60 employers from across Halton at the job fair. It is anticipated that the number of job seekers and employers attending this year’s job fair will far exceed the numbers set last year. In addition to the opportunity to meet with employers in Halton, job seekers attending the job fair can have their résumés assessed for free.
