Calling all job seekers and Halton employers: Halton Region Job Fair is October 20

Halton Region in partnership with the Economic Development Organizations of the City of Burlington, Town of Halton Hills, Town of Milton and Town of Oakville will be hosting its annual job fair on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Burlington Convention Centre located at 1120 Burloak Drive in Burlington. The job fair is open to the public and will include many employers from across Halton. Admission is free.

“Our annual job fair provides job seekers in Halton with a chance to connect with employers in Halton that are hiring,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. “If you are searching for employment or are interested in exploring new job opportunities we encourage you to visit the job fair and meet one-on-one with the many employers who are participating in this year’s job fair.”

In 2009, over 1500 skilled and motivated job seekers networked with over 40 employers from across Halton at the job fair. It is anticipated that the number of job seekers and employers attending this year’s job fair will far exceed the numbers set last year. In addition to the opportunity to meet with employers in Halton, job seekers attending the job fair can have their résumés assessed for free.
