New Disney singing sensation Bret Ryan delighted fans at the Halton Region Museum last Thursday with an impromptu concert held on the grass in front of the Alexander Barn. Located in scenic Kelso Conservation Area, the Halton Region Museum hosts the popular children’s camps, Planet Kids, during the summer months. Planet Kids Founder and President, Jeff Deverill, arranged the concert as a private function for Planet Kids families attending camps this summer.
“Halton Region Museum is a beautiful location for all kinds of events from weddings and meetings to special events such as the Bret Ryan concert,” said Gary Carr, Halton Regional Chair. “The Museum presents a range of events throughout the year that connect communities and people and combine elements of the past, present and future.”
Ryan is a new Disney musician whose latest CD is entitled “The Outcast”. The young musician played a 30 minute set and later spent time with fans, chatting and autographing CDs and posters.
“When Family Channel representatives contacted me about hosting the concert, I was glad to accept because it fits nicely with our camp program and the Museum venue,” said Deverill. “Halton Region Museum has always been a great place to offer summer camps. Now we know it’s also a terrific venue for outdoor concerts!”
The Museum opened its Visitor Centre and Alexander Barn for the families to tour the Museum after the concert.
