On Saturday October 15th, 2011 Halton Regional Police in partnership with the Halton Partners for Car Seat Safety will be holding a spot check car seat clinic at a predetermined location in Oakville.

The goal is to reach those individuals who may not voluntarily attend a regular car seat clinic and/or may not be aware that their car seat or booster seat is not properly installed.

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation revealed that 90% of child safety seats are not properly installed. Studies have shown that by using a child safety seat properly the chance of a child being killed or injured in a collision can be reduced by 75%.

Safety is our highest priority-the best child safety seat is the one that fits your child, fits your vehicle and the one that you use every time your child is in the car.

This clinic has received the generous support of the Optimist Club of Oakville and Clek Inc. (www.clekinc.com), an innovative North American booster seat manufacturer.
