
The 16th session of the Halton Regional Police – Citizen Police Academy is scheduled to commence this Fall.
Are you interested in learning more about the many aspects of policing in Halton? Would you like detailed insight into the Forensic Identification Unit, the Homicide Unit or the Tactical and Rescue Unit? Perhaps you are interested in learning more about the Collision Reconstruction Unit and are keen to discover more about fraud and identity theft prevention? Are you curious to know what it is really like to be a police officer?
If so, the Halton Regional Police Service has limited space available for the upcoming session of the Citizen Police Academy. This informative and innovative program takes place each Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m., to 10:00 p.m., commencing September 15, until December 1, 2009.
Each week, participants are presented with exciting information about the various features of the Halton Regional Police Service. A sample of the areas covered include, recruiting, hostage negotiations, homicide investigations, police training and police communications.
This voluntary program is designed for anyone who wishes to supplement their knowledge of the Halton Regional Police Service, and policing practices in general. Preference is given to persons who reside in, or operate businesses, within the Halton region.
