Town of Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette on behalf of Council is pleased to announce that Doug Penrice has been appointed to the position of Economic Development Officer for the Town of Halton Hills. Mr. Penrice is a life long resident of Halton Hills (Georgetown) operating his own business in the community and working as a real estate broker for many years.

“He has been very active in the business community, is a past president of the Chamber of Commerce and was the first full time manager of the chamber from1987 to 1992. Through this involvement Mr. Penrice is very aware of the concerns of the business community and has the intimate knowledge of the Town needed to assist companies looking to move here or expand “The Mayor said in introducing Doug to Council.

The Town of Halton Hills has established a prestigious Gateway Business Park along the 410 and 407 Highways comprising of almost 1,000 acres. This area is vitally important to the economic well being of the community and the Economic Development Officer will play a vital role in attracting new investment to this area.

Mr. Penrice and his wife Dianne are both active in a variety of community groups, Doug looks forward to once again be living and working in his home community.

The Town of Halton Hills is a community of 55,000 people located in the heart of the GTA. It boasts a superb lifestyle for its residents and is a great location for business.
