
Members of the Halton Regional Police Drug and Morality Bureau, Tactical Rescue Unit, 1 District Criminal Investigation Bureau and uniform patrol have concluded a 15-month investigation which has lead to six arrests.
On November 6, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. the Halton Regional Police Service executed five Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants: one in Acton, three in Georgetown and one in Milton. As a result, six people have been arrested and numerous charges laid.
The undercover operation began 15 months ago and focused on making multiple drug purchases in the North end of Halton Region. Seized as a result of the warrants are an undisclosed amount of drugs and two prohibited weapons.
Comprehensive details of the arrests and seizures will be provided later today. The Halton Regional Police Service is continuing their investigation and expect further arrests may be made.
