ORIGINAL POST
The Halton Regional Police Service and the Challenger Motor Freight Company would like to advise residents of Halton that they may encounter traffic delays overnight on December 7th, 2010.
Six over sized pieces of equipment are being transported by truck from the Port of Hamilton to Toronto Airport area between December 6th and December 10th.
Each piece of equipment is 150 ft in length x 24 ft wide x 25ft high. As a result disruptions in traffic and to utility services will occur to ensure the safe transportation of the equipment as well as the safety of the transportation team and the public.
The following is the anticipated times and locations where traffic will be affected in Halton.
The cargo is expected to arrive at Winston Churchill Boulevard by 6:00 am on December 8th.
Challenger Motor Freight has worked closely with all stakeholders on this project and have selected a route with minimal impact to the general public. We wanted to advise the public of these disruptions so they can plan accordingly.
