The Fall of 2009 is full of exciting events at the Public Library, something is happening every day, check the library website for more details.

Family Storytime Acton – Wednesdays at 2 p.m. Oct 14 – Dec 2 (no class Nov 4) – Acton Community Centre – This free 30 minute program for grownups and young children to enjoy together includes stories, music and lots of fun.

Family Storytime Georgetown – Wednesdays, Oct 14 – Dec 2 @ 9:45 a.m. & Saturdays, Oct 17 – Dec 5 at 11 a.m. – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church St. – This free 30 minute program for grownups and young children to enjoy together includes stories, music and lots of fun.

Family Storytime Gellert – Fridays, Oct 16 – Dec 4 at 10:30 a.m. – Gellert Community Centre – This free 30 minute program for grownups and young children to enjoy together includes stories, music and lots of fun.

Sleepytime Stories – Wednesdays Oct 14 – Dec 2 at 7 p.m. – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church St. – Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring their teddy bears to this free 30 minute program for grownups and young children.

Business Consultant on Site – Octber 15 – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church St. – On Thursday October 15, a professional Business Consultant from the Halton Region Business Development Centre will be available at Halton Hills Public Library’s Georgetown Branch to help you start or expand your existing small business. Ontario Public Library Week – October 18 – 24, 2009 – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church St. – Help us celebrate public libraries! Visitors to either branch during the week of October 18 – 24 could win one of our beautiful gift baskets!

Assocation for Bright Children Presentation – Tuesday, Oct 20 at 6:45 p.m. – Halton Hills Public Library (Gallery), 9 Church St. – Learn about Giftedness, gifted programming in Halton and the resources available for parents of young, advanced learners and gifted children.

Small Business Success Conference – October 20 – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church Street – Improve your business success with this half-day morning seminar on Tuesday, October 20 at Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown Branch. Join Rick Bonnette, Mayor of Halton Hills, as he welcomes Donna Messer and Grant Lee. Donna Messer, President of ConnectUs Communications Canada, will discuss The Power of ONE: maximizing your potential when it comes to making a difference. Grant Lee, President of AGL Marketing Limited, will teach you how to use marketing principles in product/service development. Cost is $40 for Chamber Members and $45 for non-members. Open House – October 22 at 7:30 p.m. – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church Street – Come hear about and view the interior and exterior design plans to date for the Georgetown Branch/Cultural Centre Renovation and Expansion! There will be an opportunity to meet the Architect and Interior Designer. All welcome!

The Association for Bright Children – October 20 at 6:45 p.m. – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church Street – Learn about giftedness, gifted programming in Halton, and the resources available for parents of young, advanced learners and gifted children. Registration is not required.

Author Maureen Jennings – Tuesday, Nov 3 at 7:30 p.m. – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church St. (Gallery) – The Canadian Federation of University Women is pleased to have Maureen Jennings, author of Murdoch Mystery Series and Christine Morris Series, discuss her work. Get a glimpse of historic Victorian Toronto through her photographs and stories while learning more about her adventures as a writer. Everyone is welcome to join us in the Gallery at 7:30pm for this free event.

Esquesing Historical Society Presentation – November 11 – Halton Hills Public Library, 9 Church Street – The Esquesing Historical Society presents Walter Lewis, author of River Palace: the many lives of the Kingston.
