
The Halton Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate a fatal collision that occurred on Trafalgar Road just north of 15 Sideroad, in Georgetown.
On November 4th, shortly after 8:00 pm a silver Acura was northbound on Trafalgar Road when it went out to pass other northbound vehicles. As the Acura was doing this it lost control and struck a southbound Lincoln SUV. This collision sent the Acura off the road way where it struck a tree.
The driver of the Acura, a 20 year old Mississauga woman was ejected from the vehicle. She would succumb to her injuries at the scene.
A married couple in the Lincoln both 45 years from Mississauga were taken to a local hospital and later released with minor injuries.
The Acura burst into flames shortly after the collision and the Halton Hills Fire Department had to respond to extinguish the fire.
The Halton Regional Police Service is looking into speed and alcohol as contributing factors in the accident.
Trafalgar Road was closed for 7 hours for the investigation.
