Fatal Traffic Collision in Acton

At approximately 9 a.m. this morning, a Kia sedan was involved in a fatal head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on Highway 7 west of 4th Line in Acton.

Halton Regional Police Service traffic reconstruction investigators are still on scene determining the cause of the collision, but it is believed the vehicles were headed in opposite directions on Highway 7 when one of the vehicles crossed the centre line.

The victim has been identified as a male in his 60s. Any further information will be withheld pending next of kin notification.
