13:06 Hours – Fire Crews responded to a fire alarm activation at a residence at 11948 Dublin Line. They were immediately informed upon arrival that renovations were being conducted and the smoke alarm had been removed from the circuit, thereby causing the system to activate. No further assistance was needed.

04:48 Hours – Fire Crews responded to a fire alarm activation at Mold-Masters located at 41 Todd Road. Entering the building, firefighters encountered heavy smoke conditions resulting from a fire in the immediate area of the ceramic ovens. Investigators from the Fire Department, Fire Marshals’ Office and Electrical Safety Authority are conducting a joint investigation into the cause of the fire. The buildings’ sprinkler system activated and extinguished the fire, stopping the fire from spreading. Estimates of damage have not yet been completed. There were no injuries to Staff or Employees.

12:58 Hours – Ambulance assist call to 2113 25 Side Road. Ambulance Staff were already on scene and advised that no assistance was necessary.
21:34 Hours – Fire Crews responded to a corn dryer fire at Anthony Acres at 13074 Fifth Line south of Highway 7. Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the silos’ rooftop section. Firefighters and apparatus from both Acton and Georgetown were on scene throughout the night trying to access the difficult blaze. Estimates of the silo and product loss were not yet available. Cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no injuries to Staff or Employees.

14:16 Hours – Alarm activation resulting from a faulty smoke alarm at 36 Stewart MacLaren Drive.
18:05 Hours – Alarm activation at 32 Lasby Lane resulting from a power outage in the area. No further action necessary.

03:15 Hours – Milton Fire Crews responded to 8017 Hornby Road to investigate a reported propane odour. No readings were found and Crews suspect a possible sump pump failure.
