Monday March 8, 2010

10:07 Hours – Carbon monoxide detector activation at 107 Raylawn Crescent. No readings of the deadly gas were found when the crew checked the residence with equipment.

10:45 Hours – An unattended debris fire was extinguished at the rear of 7A John Street. No damage or dollar loss being considered.

19:29 Hours – Smoke alarm activation at 49 Main Street South in Georgetown. Investigation revealed a broken electrical connector as the cause for the alarm. Fire Crews installed a replacement battery operated alarm until repairs could be completed.

Tuesday March 9, 2010

10:42 Hours – Burning food in a self-cleaning oven brought out Firefighters to 3 Appleby Court in Georgetown. Crews checked for fire extension beyond the appliance but everything was satisfactory.

12:01 Hours – Fire Crews investigated an unknown odor at 129 Main Street South in Georgetown. Nothing found.

15:21 Hours – Carbon monoxide detector activation at 86 Main Street North in Acton. Nothing found.

20:12 Hours – Fire Crews assisted EMS Staff free a childs’ foot caught in his bicycle at 9 Carruthers Road. The child didn’t sustain any serious injuries.

Friday March 12, 2010

14:46 Hours – Fire Crews responded with tankers to assist Milton Fire who attended a chimney fire at 9130 Fifth Line of Halton Hills. The fire was out upon our arrival. The homeowner was advised not to use the appliance again until a thorough inspection and cleaning of the chimney was completed.

16:04 Hours – A power outage was determined as the cause for a fire alarm activation at 70 Todd Road. The system reset without difficulty.

16:10 Hours – A high voltage power line initiated a fire on a hydro pole in front of 1 Carruthers Road in Georgetown. Fire Crews assisted Halton Regional Police with traffic concerns until Halton Hills Hydro arrived on scene. After determining our assistance was no longer needed, Fire Crews returned to the Station.

Saturday March 13, 2010

04:17 Hours – Carbon monoxide detector activation at 25 Byron Street. Nothing found.

12:34 Hours – Alarm activation resulting from somebody activating a pull station while leaving Halton Hills Christian School on 11643 Trafalgar Road. The system reset immediately without any difficulty.

23:55 Hours – Carbon monoxide detector activation at 9 Belmont Boulevard. Nothing found.

Sunday March 14, 2010

23:27 Hours – Carbon monoxide detector activation at 66 Dayfoot Drive. Nothing found.

Milton Fire Department responded to one call this past week into Halton Hills.

14:38 Hours – Milton Fire Crews responded to a reported chimney fire at 9130 Fifth Line, Halton Hills. Crews from Halton Hills quickly responded with tankers to assist our counterparts.
