
The Georgetown Arenas Task Force conducted their inaugural meeting on Tuesday,
November 11, 2008 at the Civic Centre.
The initial meeting was to familiarize all members with significant documents, conducting a brief over-view of such items as:

The majority of the meeting was utilized in the preparation of the Terms of Reference of the Task Force. This is due to the Council of Halton Hills by November 28th, 2008.
The next meeting to finalize the Terms of Reference will be held Wednesday, November 19th at 7:00 pm in the Mold-Masters Sportsplex. All future meetings will be open to the public with designated meetings to accept delegations of various organizations, teams and clubs being established. The public will be informed appropriately.
Mr. Ed DeSousa, Director of Finance & Treasurer, Town of Halton Hills has been added to the Task Force, enabling his financial expertise to be utilized. The members of the Task Force are: Terry Alyman, Jay Anderson, Rick Bonnette (Vice Chair), Ed DeSousa, John Duncan, Todd Kearney, Dave Kentner, Bryan Lewis (Chair), Cheryl Nieuwendyk, Hal Pells, Dennis Perlin, Laura Rees, Grace Rylett, Tom Wharton, John Templeman.
The Final Report is due to Council by April 30, 2009.
