From November 14 to 20, 2011, Canadians will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). An international movement, the week’s events are designed to inspire youth to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity through entrepreneurship, and inspire more people to consider entrepreneurship as a career. In Halton, HalTech and the Halton Region Small Business Centre have planned an engaging series of seminars and events focused on all things entrepreneurial.
“Supporting the growth and success of innovative businesses in Halton is one of our key priorities,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. “We are fortunate to be able to partner with HalTech and RBC Royal Bank to offer such high calibre Entrepreneurship Week events. These events will provide a terrific learning experience and plenty of networking opportunities for people already in business, as well as those just now considering entrepreneurship as a career.”
Seminar topics include communication, marketing and branding, perfecting a business pitch, mastering social media and Angel investing. A complete schedule is available at www.haltonsmallbusiness.ca.
