In an effort to gather public input, and increase community awareness of the Town’s Green Plan Task Force and Council’s commitment to undertaking actions that will contribute to the achievement of a healthier environment, the Town has added a new link to its website – the “Green Plan” link. “The Task Force is excited about adding the Green Plan link to the Town’s website. This is an excellent way to gather feedback from the citizens of our Town”, said Mayor Rick Bonnette.
The “Green Plan” was launched by the Mayor in June of this year. Information regarding the Town’s Green Plan Project as well as Halton Hills’ environmental initiatives can be found at: http://www.haltonhills.ca/greenplan
The Green Plan link also provides an opportunity for anyone to provide the Task Force with their green ideas. Members of the public are encouraged to access a comment form at the above noted location, and to forward their environmental thoughts and suggestions to the Task Force before the end of October. Doing so will allow the Green Plan Task Force to consider these suggestions prior to the preparation of the final project report.
