Time to Register for Preschool Programs

Halton Hills Public Library offers free programs for children aged 6 months to 5 years. You can register online beginning September 9 at www.library.hhpl.on.ca Programs begin in October and are offered in both branches.

For babies 6-23 months and their grownups we offer Baby Tales, a one-on-one program using music, rhythm, rhymes and puppets to stimulate your baby. New for this fall: we’ll be offering Baby Tales at the Gellert Centre and on Friday afternoons!

For two year-olds and their grownups, we offer Tales for Twos, which includes picture books, rhymes, music, and creative movement.

Library Lion Tales is for children 3-5 years old, and includes stories, music, games and other fun.

Business Consultant on Site Program at Halton Hills Public Library

Calling all business owners and entrepreneurs! Halton Region’s Business Development Centre, in partnership with Halton Hills Public Library, provides access to professional business consultants who can answer questions about starting a business, business planning, writing marketing plans, and understanding government regulations. Register for a free one-hour consultation on Thursday, October 16 at 1-866-4HALTON or busdev@halton.ca

Family Storytime and Sleepytime Stories at the Library

Family Storytime is a fun drop-in program for grownups and young children to enjoy together. The program is 30 minutes long, with stories, music and movement. Georgetown Branch, Wednesdays at 9:45 a.m. beginning October 15, and Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. beginning October 18. It is also offered at the Gellert Centre on Fridays at 10:30 beginning October 17, and the Acton Community Centre on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. beginning October 8.

On Wednesday evenings, before tucking the children into bed, join us for Sleepytime Stories in the Georgetown Branch, a 30 minute program of stories, music and fun where children wear their pajamas and bring their teddy bears!
