Halton Physician Recruitment effort brings two family physicians to Halton Hills

Members of the Halton Physician Recruitment initiative welcome two family physicians to the Town of Halton Hills. The following physicians have opened practices in Georgetown this year and are accepting patients:

• Dr. Pradeep Navaratne opened his practice in January of 2009 and is accepting patients at two locations:
  • 99 Sinclair Avenue, Suite 102, Georgetown 905-873-4703
  • 2-333 Mountainview Road South, Georgetown 905-873-4742
• Dr. Shaista Amin joined Dr. Seema Chowdry’s practice and is accepting patients at 99 Sinclair Avenue, Suite 308, Georgetown 289-428-1014

“The Halton Physician Recruitment program has been working diligently to address the shortage of family doctors in Halton for the past seven years,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. “They have had great success across the Region and will continue their efforts as long as the need remains.”

Halton’s Physician Recruitment initiative is a collaborative effort between Halton Region and representatives from the City of Burlington, the Town of Halton Hills, the Town of Milton and the Town of Oakville, local physicians and senior area hospital staff.

“Halton Hills welcomes Dr. Navaratne and Dr. Amin,” said Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette. “Access to quality medical care is very important to our residents and we are pleased to have these qualified physicians join our community.”
