
The Halton Regional Police Service is looking for dedicated community members to join our team of Auxiliary Police Officers.
The Auxiliary Policing Unit has been in operation since 1989 and is comprised of 56 members. These members are assigned to a divisional unit where they volunteer a minimum of 12 hours per month to the community. Members are commonly utilized to augment the activities of police officers at annual special events and often accompany police constables on general patrol.

The first phase of the selection process which consists of general aptitude testing is planned for mid September. Applicants will receive a written invitation, which outlines their exact testing date, time and location. Applicants who have recently submitted an application need not to re-apply.
Applications must be received by September 1st, 2009.

Volunteer application forms can be picked up at any Halton Regional Police Station or downloaded from the Service’s website under the section “Join Us – Volunteer programs” category.
