
In early 2011, the Halton Regional Police Drug and Morality Unit commenced an investigation into a drug trafficker in the City of Burlington and Town of Oakville.
Over the course of the investigation, police observed this male trafficking street levels of cocaine in Oakville and Burlington.
On April 1st 2011, the male was arrested and found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine (approximate street value $3000).
A second trafficker who police allege was also involved with the first male in the distribution of cocaine in Oakville and Burlington was also arrested the same day. Was found in possession of a small amount of cocaine and $4,000 dollars in Canadian currency.
Search warrants executed at the residences of both traffickers resulted in the seizure of a large amount of drugs and currency:
Total street value of drugs seized during this investigation is estimated at $123,000.
Total value of Canadian currency seized is $25,000.
Both parties were held pending a bail hearing and charged with the following offences:
Charged: 29 year old Male from Burlington
Charges:
Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
Charged: 33 year old Male from Hamilton
Charges:
Trafficking in cocaine
Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
Possession of cannabis marihuana for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of anabolic steroids for the purpose of trafficking.
