11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Georgetown Market Place
280 Guelph Street
Georgetown, ON

Members of the Halton Regional Police Service, assisted by members of Communities on Phone Patrol will be volunteering their time on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 to collect money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run which supports Special Olympics Ontario.

Special Olympics is a year round international sports training and athletic competition program for children and adults with special needs. The program provides opportunities to develop fitness, and participate in the excitement of sports events. The Halton Regional Police Service sponsors the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which raises money and builds awareness for the Special Olympic program. All monies raised in Halton Region stay within our community to support local athletes.

Our members will be wearing Torch Run T-shirts and carrying “buckets” with the Law Enforcement Torch Run Logo. We hope to have several local Special Olympians in attendance!

Please give generously to this very worthwhile cause.
