Halton Region looking for input on Metrolinx Regional Transportation Plan

Metrolinx recently released its Regional Transportation Plan, which will have a significant impact on Halton Residents. Halton Regional Chair and Metrolinx board member Gary Carr is inviting Halton Residents to review the Regional Transportation Plan and to provide him with your comments directly at gary.carr@halton.ca.

The Metrolinx open house will be held at the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville , but the dates and times have not been confirmed.

“As Halton and the GTA continue to grow, it is becomes increasingly important to have a reliable inter-regional transportation system that can get commuters from one point of the GTA to the other seamlessly,” stated Halton Region Chair, Gary Carr. “A great deal of work and research has gone into Metrolinx’s Regional Transportation Plan. It will affect everyone who uses Halton’s highways, roads, and streets. I urge everyone to voice their opinion at the open house or to me through email. It is very important that we have community feedback.”
