Beginning on Wednesday, November 18, the Halton Region Health Department will open up H1N1 immunization clinics to everyone over six months old in Halton Region. The Health Department has also notified local physicians that they can immunize anyone who wants to be immunized, so residents are encouraged to contact their physician’s office to see if the vaccine is available there.
Four H1N1 immunization clinic sites throughout the region will be open on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and two clinics will be open on Saturday and Sunday. Residents are encouraged to check the website at www.halton.ca or dial 311 to confirm clinic information before attending a clinic. Wait times for each clinic location are also posted on the Region’s website.
For pregnant women who chose to wait for the unadjuvanted vaccine, it continues to be available only at the Oakville H1N1 immunization clinic or through physicians.
