The Halton Regional Police Service, in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of the Environment and twelve police services across the Province will once again be focused on drivers who race and operate modified vehicles aggressively with no regard for public safety or traffic laws.

The goal of the E.R.A.S.E. Program (Eliminate Racing Activities on Streets Everywhere) is to change poor driver behaviour through education and strategic enforcement.

ERASE deployment nights will take place throughout the summer with a zero tolerance for “stunting” and other traffic related offences.

The public is reminded that street racing and stunting is not only dangerous, high-risk behaviour but also a crime in progress. If members of the public are witness to aggressive driving behaviour they are asked to call the police on 9-1-1.
