High School Information Nights for parents of students in Halton District School Board will be held next month

High School Information Evenings are scheduled during the month of January to provide an opportunity for parents to find out more about high school education.
The following meetings are for parents of students who will attend Grade 9 in September 2012. Discussion topics will include an overview of the Grade 9 program, services for students and diploma requirements.

Dates and locations are as follows:

• Acton High School – Wednesday, January 18 at 7 p.m. – 519-853-2920
  • Large group presentation: 7 p.m.
  • Small group questions and answers session: 7:45 p.m. and tours at 8:30 p.m.

• E.C. Drury High School (Newly-built school opening in Fall 2012 as Craig Kielburger Secondary School) -Thursday, January 19 – 7 p.m. 905-878-0575

• Georgetown District High School – Tuesday, January 17 – 905-877-6966
  • Session times are scheduled by family surnames
  • 6:30 p.m.: For students with surnames beginning with A-L – General Information;
  • 7:10 p.m: For students with surnames beginning with A-L – Specialized Program Information sessions
  • 6:30 p.m. For students with surnames beginning with M-Z – Specialized program information sessions (Essential Level & Special Education; French Immersion;ISP/IB & Gifted; Gr. 8 LEAP Program; Life Skills and The Centre)
  • 7:10 p.m.: For students with surnames beginning with M-Z – General Information
