HRPS Looking for Victim Services Unit Volunteers

Halton Regional Police Service

The Halton Regional Police Service is currently seeking mature volunteer members for the Victim Services Unit. The mandate of the Victim Services unit is to provide emotional support and community referrals to victims of crime and tragedy throughout the region. A candidate to the program will possess excellent communication/listening skills as well as being compassionate, empathetic and a strong desire to give back to your community.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates are required to complete a mandatory 6 week training program (3hrs per week for 6 weeks)

Applications can be found at www.haltonpolice.ca. Applications will be accepted until Monday November 1st 2010. Those who apply will be contacted at a later date to attend an information session.
