An exciting path is being taken by the Town of Halton Hills and its residents! It is a path towards a more sustainable future, with a great quality of life for all. A blueprint for achieving this future will be outlined in the Community Sustainability Strategy.

Speaking about the Community Sustainability Strategy, Mayor Bonnette said: “The Community Sustainability Strategy is a very unique and exciting project. It is taking a long-term view to imagine a more sustainable future for Halton Hills and to develop a blueprint for how we can get there. Our residents’ input is key to making this a Strategy that is truly based on community input.”

To date, significant progress has been made in working towards the Strategy. Building on the valuable insight gathered through the Imagine Halton Hills survey, with over 1,000 responses, discussions with local community experts, presentations to about two hundred youth, countless committee meetings, and research and analysis of similar journeys being undertaken by other communities, members of the Town Sustainability Advisory Committee have arrived at draft visions of sustainability and priority focus areas.

Now, we need your feedback to confirm, refine and improve the proposed visions and focus areas. Residents are encouraged to provide their feedback through a brief 8-question survey. A separate survey is available for each of the four areas of sustainability: social wellbeing, environmental health, economic prosperity and cultural vibrancy.
