Male struck and killed by train in Georgetown

On Tuesday 8th June 2010 at approximately 5:10pm, the Halton Regional Police responded to the rail tracks in the area of Dayfoot Drive and Mill Street, Georgetown, following the report by a citizen of a deceased person at this location. Officers conducted an investigation at the scene and believe the male was struck by a train resulting in the fatal injuries.

Trains were stopped in both directions while the investigation was conducted

The victim is a male believed to be in his 30’s, but his identity has yet to be confirmed.

Investigation continues.
