
October is Salute to Small Business month in Ontario, and an opportunity for the provincial government and its partners to celebrate the achievements of small business operators. To help mark this event, Halton Region’s Business Development Centre is inviting Halton entrepreneurs and small business owners to participate in Bridges to Better Business – Mind Your e-Business, a half-day learning and networking conference focused on how small businesses can best use technology solutions to drive their business growth. Mind Your e-Business will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Burlington Convention Centre, 1120 Burloak Drive in Burlington, ON.
Mind Your e-Business will feature keynote speaker Eric Gales, Vice President of Small Business, Midmarket Solutions and Partners at Microsoft Canada who has spent 15 years helping small businesses to understand software solutions and realize their full potential. Mr. Gales will provide a strategic overview of the issues facing small businesses, current and future technology solutions, and the technology strategies that entrepreneurs need to embrace in order to be successful.
The conference will also feature break-out sessions with local technology experts who will provide attendees with the latest tips and best practices in the areas of website design, business management, e-Commerce, e-Security, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and social media marketing.
