
The Halton Regional Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing man who has diabetes and is described as being in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.
Paul Carmichael, 73 years of age was last seen leaving a family gathering at his daughter’s residence in Georgetown on Monday August 2nd at 3:30 pm. It was believed he was driving to his own residence on Eagle Ridge Drive in Brampton. He did not arrive there, nor has he been in any contact with family members.
Mr. Carmichael is described as male, white, 5’7”, 165 lbs., grey hair and wears silver framed glasses. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white and turquoise ‘Arnold Palmer’ polo shirt, black belt, white socks and brown sandals. Mr. Carmichael was last seen operating a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire, silver in colour with 4 doors, bearing Ontario Licence plate 534 YBV.
Mr. Carmichael requires injections of insulin, has his insulin with him, but if he is confused he may not take it without being reminded.
Any person who has information concerning the whereabouts of Mr. Carmichael is asked to contact the on-duty Staff Sergeant at 12 Division of the Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4747 Ext: 2410 or contact your local police agency.
UPDATE: MISSING MAN WITH MEDICAL ISSUES FOUND SAFE AND SOUND
On the morning of August 4th 2010, members of the Halton Regional Police One District Investigation Bureau received information that missing person, Paul CARMICHAEL, had been located safe and sound at a church in Brampton. Peel Regional Police attended along with EMS personnel as a precautionary measure. CHARMICHAEL was medically cleared at the scene by EMS and is now back in the care of family members. No further police action.
