
Ontario has a range of summer job opportunities for students, through Ontario’s Summer Jobs Programs.
The Summer Jobs Service offers students free self-marketing and job search services, and offers employers a $2-per-hour wage subsidy to encourage them to hire students. These programs are open to students aged 15 to 24 years (up to 29 years for a person with a disability) who are planning to return to school this fall.
“For many people, summer work experiences pave the way to lifelong careers,” said John Milloy, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities. “By helping young people – and employers – connect, we are helping students acquire skills that will stay with them all their lives.”
