The official opening of the new Edith Street Parking Lot will took place on Wednesday June 29, 2011 at 1:30pm.

As part of the Town’s “Municipal Green Plan”, the Town and Federal Government entered into a funding contribution agreement through the Federal Economic Development Agency of Southern Ontario’s Community Adjustment Fund program to construct the new Edith Street Parking Lot, an environmentally sustainable facility.

“The Edith Street Parking Lot incorporates many environmental attributes such as on site storm water runoff for quality and quantity control, LED lighting and electrical plug in capacity for the future generation of electrical vehicles. Community sponsored events requiring ease of electrical power access will also benefit” said Mayor Bonnette.

Representatives from the Federal Government including MP Michael Chong, Mayor of Halton Hills along with Members of Council as well as the Halton Hills BIA were invited to attend the official opening by the Mayor of Halton Hills.
