Porsche Stolen

On Friday March 18th, 2011 at approximately 10:20 pm a motorist travelling on a quite country road in the Town of Campbellville was signalled to stop by another vehicle following it. An occupant in the second car approached the driver and ordered the driver to exit his vehicle. The suspect then jumped into the driver’s seat and sped away in the victim’s silver 1999 Porsche 944. The suspect vehicle fled the area northbound. The stolen car was last seen southbound on Twiss Rd, south of Campbellville Road. The suspect did not verbally identify himself as a police officer but appears to have held himself out to be an officer. Police attended the scene and searched the area. The victim of the theft was not injured.

Suspect Description: Male, Caucasian, 30’s, 6’, muscular build, dark clothing, wearing a silver beaded chain with a gold badge in a leather holder attached.

Suspect Vehicle Description: medium sized sedan. flashing blue light on front of the vehicle.

Halton Regional Police Service remind motorist to exercise caution when travelling in remote areas or late at night. If you are signalled to stop by another car and are suspicious pull over in a well lit area, keep your windows up and doors locked and ask for police identification. Officers should be able to produce a badge and photo identification. Motorists can also reach police by dialling 911.
