The site, www.findingyourhome.ca, is the only Canadian bank-offered resource to provide aspiring and existing homeowners with ready online access to extensive information about:

• Getting settled once the move is over

Each topic offers a robust collection of tips, checklists, information and advice on all facets of the home buying and moving process, from start to finish. The site also links to www.communitycorner.ca – another RBC-related resource and first of its kind among financial institutions in Canada – which allows visitors to view demographics, utility company information and community amenities such as schools, child care and shopping. Visitors can view three separate neighbourhoods of interest and do a side-by-side comparison of each community’s features.

“We know there’s much more to home buying than mortgage considerations,” added Tolhurst. “That’s why we set out to give Canadians, and those new to Canada, a practical and relevant source of information that takes a look at the whole home-buying picture.”
