Shortly after 11AM on Saturday, October 15th, emergency services responded to the north face of the Kelso Conservation area in Milton to rescue an injured climber.

A 25-year-old woman had been climbing with a group when she grabbed a tree branch that gave way. She fell an estimated 30-40 feet, and suffered (as yet) undetermined injuries.

Approximately two dozen fire, police, EMS and Kelso staff took part in providing first aid to the woman, and carrying her down to the base for transport by a waiting ambulance to hospital for treatment.

The victim was described as an experienced climber by her associates.
