School forced to close after break-in

The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a break and enter to Robert Little Public School located at 41 School Lane, in Acton.

On January 26th, shortly after 1:00 am HARP Security arrived at Robert Little Public School to investigate an alarm call. The lone male security guard began to check the exterior of the school and found a broken window. The security guard then heard voices and would eventually come into contact with two males just outside the school. The security guard immediately took control of the suspects and called Halton Regional Police, who continued the arrest.

A search of the school would reveal that the suspects had done extensive damage to 9 class rooms as well as the schools library. Numerous computers were either removed, damaged or thrown to the floor.

The suspects also tampered with a fish tank in the school which caused at least 10 of the fish to die.

Charged with, Break and Enter, Mischief over $5000 and Cruelty to Animals is:

Both men will appear in Milton court on March 8th.

Robert Little Public School is expected to be closed for at least one day for repairs.
