On Sunday, April 10, from 2 to 4 p.m., step into Spring at the Halton Region Museum with entertainer, singer and musician Christopher Plock, specializing in Jazz vocals and the saxophone.
“Halton Region Museum’s Jazz at the Museum series of concerts continues to showcase top notch performers in the most unique setting,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. “Christopher Plock is one of the best male jazz vocalists in the country.”
Christopher Plock’s latest CD, “Blue Skies For Loveday,” highlights his talents as a singer and an instrumentalist. He has performed with many artists including the late Jeff Healey and the Jazz Wizards, and Ron Hawkins. His work on the K-OS CD, Joyful Rebellion, netted him two Juno Awards.
“Backed up by a band of seasoned professionals, Christopher is a performer who brings tremendous energy to every performance,” said Steve Baker, Museum Foundation Chairman and Jazz Series spokesperson. “His varied repertoire (Jazz, Blues, Funk, R&B and Pop) is the perfect antidote to those lingering winter blues.”
The Jazz experience will take place in Halton Region Museum’s Hearth Room, a continuing fundraising event for the Foundation in support of the Museum’s capital renovation campaign.
Tickets are available for $20 at the door and include entertainment, light snacks and a cash bar (beer and wine). Seating is on a first come first served basis and recommended to purchase tickets in advance. On entering Kelso Conservation Area, Jazz series patrons should mention to gate staff that they are attending the museum jazz concert, in order to enter the park at no charge.
