Sudden Death Acton

On Thursday January 6th, 2011 at approximately 7:25 pm Halton Police Regional Police and Halton Paramedics were called to a residence on Mill St West in Acton for a male suffering from life threatening injuries. Shortly after paramedics and police arrived the victim was pronounced deceased.

The Halton Regional Police Service is now treating the incident as a Homicide. Eddie McGUIN, 47 years, from Acton was arrested at the scene and has been charged with second degree murder.

The two men were known to each other.

McGUIN was remanded into custody and will make his next court appearance Monday January 10th at 9:30am at Milton Court.

The victim has been identified as Rick MacLEOD, 49 years, from Acton. The cause of death is still under investigation.
