Meditation

Meditation is an ancient technique used to quiet the mind and to connect with the heart. It is an effective tool for relieving stress, and improving sleep. Learning to meditate is something anyone can do.

Chantal Garneau is an experienced and skilled meditation facilitator. She has developed a meditation routine which will be practiced every week. The repetition of this routine will allow each participant to experience a deeper state of relaxation and reflection each week. This routine is appropriate and effective for people who have been meditating for years as well as those who have never meditated before.

There will be an introduction to meditation every week so that you can join in at any time by attending the introduction session at 7pm. Once you’ve attended an intro session you can arrive between 7:30 and 7:45 for the guided meditation.

Chairs will be available for anyone who would like to sit during meditation. If you prefer to lie down, please bring a yoga mat or blanket or sleeping bag and a pillow. You may choose to bring a journal to write in after the meditation to record any insights or feelings and you may also like to bring some water. It is always a nice idea to bring a friend, spouse, child or neighbor.

The cost is $10 per person or $15 for two people.

Event Date/Time: Beginning May 4th, 7-7:30pm introduction to meditation, 7:45-8:45 guided group meditation
