Texting and driving prove once again to be a dangerous combination

The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating a single motor vehicle collision in Milton.

On June 11th, shortly after 12:30 pm a man was driving eastbound on Main Street, in Milton. Witnesses would reveal that the man was “texting” on his phone while he was driving. The 30 year old driver crossed the centre line where he collided with two westbound vehicles.

One of the vehicles that were struck lost control, mounted a curb and ran into the outside patio of Catered Affair that was full of patrons. There were no injuries but the café sustained minor damage.

The driver of the vehicle Grayson KEMP, 30 years of Milton, was charged with Carless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

Distracted drivers are a safety risk to themselves and others. The Halton Regional Police Service wants to remind you:
