Town extends deadline for submitting applications to Various Boards and Committees

The Council for the Corporation of the Town of Halton Hills is pleased to extend the deadline for receipt of applications to the Town’s various Boards and Committees. The deadline has been extended to December 22, 2010.

Members of the public interested in serving on one of the following committees are invited to submit their application;

• Committee of Adjustment
• Heritage Halton Hills
• Halton Hills Library Board
• Halton Hills Citizens’ Cemetery Advisory Committee
• Litter Free Task Force Committee
• Property Standards Committee
• Site Alteration Committee
• Town Environmental Advisory Committee
• Trails Advisory Committee
• Halton Hills Accessibility Advisory Committee
• Town Sustainability Advisory Committee
• Town of Halton Hills Fence Viewers

Mayor Rick Bonnette stated “Council relies on the expertise of citizen volunteers who are members of the Town’s various Advisory Boards and Committees. Volunteer members provide advice and recommendations on pertinent Town issues, and assist with promoting and strengthening the sense of community in the Town of Halton Hills. Town Council invites you to volunteer your time and expertise by participating on one of our many committees. This is an excellent way that citizens can assist council in developing Town policies”.
