
During the past few months, the Town of Halton Hills experienced a significant increase in overnight thefts from vehicles in residential areas.
Items stolen included; small electronic items, wallets, cash and vehicle parts.
Investigators and uniform officers worked collaboratively, utilizing an array of investigative techniques to identify those responsible for the thefts.
On October 15th, Members of the Georgetown Criminal Investigations Bureau, assisted by uniform patrol officers, executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a Georgetown address and arrested two men in relation to the thefts:
ACCUSED: Male, 26 yrs, of Georgetown
CHARGES:
Use Stolen Credit Card (two counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (11 counts)
Breach of Probation (13 counts)
ACCUSED: Male, 25 yrs, of Georgetown
CHARGE: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
