VINTAGES winter bin end sale offers savings on 230 premium wines and spirits starting February 27

VINTAGES, LCBO’s fine wines and premium spirits business unit, is reducing prices on 191 wines and 39 spirits during its semi-annual clearance starting this Saturday, February 27, 2010.

“This sale offers excellent value on premium products in a range of prices,” says Tom Wilson, Vice President of VINTAGES.

Discounts range from 12 to 30 per cent on products that originally were priced between $13 and $4,400.

“This clearance gives our customers the opportunity to buy top-quality wines and spirits that previously may have been beyond their budget,” notes Wilson. “Many of the wines are ideal for cellaring as they will improve with age, however, many are ready to drink now,” notes Wilson.

The sale includes single malt Scotch whiskies, fine cognacs and wines from some of the world’s top regions, including Bordeaux, Burgundy and Rhone in France, Tuscany and Veneto in Italy, Spain, Portugal, California, Australia and Chile.

“Our semi-annual clearances allow us to offer bargains while making room for exciting, new releases that bring thousands of new products into the Ontario market,” adds Wilson.

Over the past year, VINTAGES has introduced more than 6,000 products through its bi-weekly in-store releases, CLASSICS Collection, Bordeaux Futures program, vintagesshoponline.com and special offers.

Sold on a first-come, first-served basis, the reduced items will be offered exclusively at LCBO VINTAGES stores and VINTAGES sections in LCBO stores. Selection and quantities will vary from store to store, with the largest VINTAGES locations offering the broadest selection.

In keeping with standard LCBO clearance procedures, reduced items cannot be transferred from store to store. Since some products are available in limited quantities, customers are advised to shop early for best selection. These sale products are only available in-store.
