Do you have technology questions? Join the staff at Halton Hills Public Library for our Technology Made Simple program! We’ll start off with a mini presentation on “Mastering the Mouse” and then experienced tutors will be available to help you with any kind of technology question you may have. You can also try out some of our devices like eReaders, the Playbook and laptops too. Just drop in, no registration required.

Acton Branch: Friday, February 10, 2-4pm.

Georgetown Branch: Friday, February 17, 2-4pm.

Inteiror Design Presentation - Halton Hills Civic Centre - Feb 9th

Please join the staff from Halton Hills Public Library on Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 pm at the Halton Hills Civic Centre (Council Chambers) for a presentation by their architect, John Knox and interior designer, Kyle Nichols, both of Chamberlain Architect Services Ltd.

They will be showcasing the interior design plans including colours, fabrics, carpeting, furniture placement and floor plans of the renovated and expanded Georgetown Branch of the Halton Hills Public Library. Don’t miss this chance for a “sneak peek” at what the new branch will look like!

A light reception will follow with the opportunity to take a closer look at the design boards and to ask questions of Library Department Heads.

Feb 1 2012 Library Fine Increase

Library fines for the late return of borrowed materials will be increased from .20 cents to .25 cents a day, effective February 1st, 2012. The maximum fine rate for all materials will also be increased from $5.00 to $7.00 per item, effective February 1, 2012.

Does your child like to read? Halton Hills Public Library has a book club for kids 9-13 who are proficient, enthusiastic readers. The Cocoa Club meets once a month on Saturday mornings in the Georgetown Branch.
